Membership and activities

THE EFCCA MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS ………. See EFCCA Membership.

Each Member Association is entitled to send delegates to the annual meeting and to receive financial and other reports relating to the progress of activities.

An Executive Committee of six officers and two substitute officers is chosen from amongst the delegates and this Committee is assisted in its work by national delegates who take responsibility for running EFCCA's various projects.

EFCCA representatives participate in international congresses to raise the awareness of doctors and researchers of the benefits of membership of national self-help associations and of the assistance that such associations and EFCCA may be able to give to them in carrying out their work.
In addition to Member Association subscriptions, EFCCA depends upon the support of donors and sponsors. It has been supported by a number of leading pharmaceutical companies. It offers sponsors an unrivalled opportunity to reach the widest European audience of those with IBD, though it will not endorse any particular product or service and any trials or research arranged through EFCCA are subject in any country to the approval of its national association and national medical advisers.
