Two weeks ago EFCCA General Assembly took place in Helsinki.
Despite of the ahs could which caused the closure of the many European airport the majority of
delegates could reach the wonderful Capital city of Finland.
Nearly three days of had work characterised our staying. A very productive atmosphere which saw the
proactive participation of EFCCA members: a commonly shared decision making process which led to
boost EFCCA new deal whose pillars of transparency, ethics, commitment and involvement showed
their value and inner strength.
The strategy for the next 2 yeas was approved and many projects and actions are on the way. A warm welcome to a new National Association: MACC from Malta which officially become part of EFCCA. Two "observer countries": Poland and Czech Republic (with a new patients' organisation) ready to become, next year, part of our European family. Over than 40 delegates
Our 20th Anniversary - our past, our present and our future: EFCCA hard job to build a better life for people with IBD.
Last but not least: the "volcano emergency": anxiety for our Icelandic friends and the need to travel homeward....
Once again EFCCA people's ability and creativity to overcome the issue. A charter bus from Helsinki to Brussels: more than 30 people travelling together, exhausting but enjoyable and finally back home. A further concrete proof that United we stand, particularly when good and reliable friends are around: big thanks to our Finnish hosts!
