EFCCA and worldwide sister organisations

World IBD Day

Since 2008 EFCCA is engaged in creating links and possible co-operation with worldwide sister organisations. The first concrete outcome is the co-design and launch of the World IBD DAY marked on 19th of May.

World Symposium on IBD research funded by IBD patient associations

On 18 October 2012, the European Federation of Crohn's & Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA) met  in Brussels with worldwide patient associations for the first ever World Symposium on IBD research funded or promoted by IBD patients' associations. The event gathered important evidence and information from IBD patient associations that directly fund or promote research into the causes and treatment of IBD. A follow up event is planned for 2015.
