The Association François Aupetit (AFA), in collaboration with EFCCA and the EFCCA Youth Group (EYG), are pleased to announce:

The 11th International Meeting for Young People with IBD
"EFCCA Youth Meeting 2008"
Paris, France: 24th - 27th July 2008

As always, the meeting is designed to be fun and interactive. You can expect:
  • Talks from experts in IBD-related topics
  • Questions and participation from the audience of delegates
  • Workshops and interactive sessions
  • A sporting event!
  • A gala dinner, on our last night
  • Visits to the local area, after the meetings of the day
  • News about EYG projects, and ideas of how you can contribute

We aim to have fun whilst learning, working together and sharing ideas as a friendly and understanding community.

What to do next...

  • Check with your national association to decide who will be your country's 2 delegates this year.

  • Start work on your poster and short report...
  • Arrange your travel to Paris!

Design a poster

  • Work with the other delegate from your country to design a poster to bring to EYM 2008.
  • The poster should present an activity, event or project, that has taken place in your country in the last year, that involves young people with IBD.
  • For example, your poster could be about a project which helps young people in their everyday life with IBD.
  • The poster could involve the title for EYM 2008 - "Building a European Ideal".
  • Posters will be displayed during the meeting for everyone to see. The best poster and project will receive the amazing Loekie plate!

Write a short report

  • Work with the other delegate from your country to write a short report on "the health care system for young people in my country".
  • Your report could answer: Do you have to pay for health care, or do you buy health insurance? What treatments can you receive? What are the hospitals like? Do you have to wait for treatments? Do you meet other young people at hospital? ...and any other questions you have!
  • Your report should be short - less than 250 words,
