World IBD Day takes place on 19 May each year and unites people in their fight against Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
EFCCA is coordinating this year´s campaign which will see famous landmarks around the globe lit in purple in order to raise awareness about the approximately 5 million people that are living with IBD.
Alongside illuminated landmarks many patient associations and activists will organise local supporting events aimed at lobbying and/providing information about IBD.
Follow these events on: www.worldibdday.org
EFCCA will also be part of a YouTube Live video on May 19 that will bring together representatives from IBD organizations around the world for a talk about the disease and how we're working to better the lives of everyone impacted by IBD.
