Crohn's and Colitis New Zealand is a charitable trust which aims to provide support, advice, resources and information about Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The organisation was established by individuals affected by Crohn’s and colitis, and medical specialists active in the treatment of these chronic diseases.
The organisation is led by founding chairman Brian Poole and five trustees. Medical advisors support and advise the board and Patron, Her Excellency Lady Janine Mateparae provides her support through her vice regal patronage. Read more about our Patron, chair and trustees.
The Crohn’s & Colitis New Zealand Charitable Trust (CCNZ), was established in early 2010, in a Nationally coordinated way, to respond to the needs of Crohn’s & Colitis patients across New Zealand. From that small but dedicated group of individuals, we have grown with Crohn’s & Colitis Support Groups now operating in 13 regions throughout New Zealand, working collectively toward our goal, offering support through fellowship, education and participation in fundraising.
